Emporix Expands Into Benelux: What It Means for Suppliers
For a manufacturer or wholesaler in the Netherlands or Belgium, the hardest question about a new commerce platform is usually not what the software can do but who will make it work with the ERP, the customer-specific prices and the invoicing rules the business already runs on. That question shaped how Emporix approached the region. This week the company announced its expansion into Benelux, appointing Marnix Dekker as Head of Sales for Benelux, the Nordics, the UK and Ireland, with four implementation partners already working with Emporix in the Netherlands and Belgium (press release, 30 September 2026).

Emporix in Benelux: A Regional Team, Local Partners and the First Dutch Customers
Emporix now has dedicated sales leadership for Benelux, a network of four implementation partners in the Netherlands and Belgium, and two Dutch customer wins that will be announced in the coming weeks. With this step, Benelux becomes a core market for Emporix alongside DACH.

Marnix Dekker joins from SQLI Netherlands, where he spent more than five years and was most recently Sales and Marketing Director, working with retail, wholesale and manufacturing customers. He will work with the partner network to turn Emporix's presence in the region into customer projects, and he will lead the expansion into the Nordics, the UK and Ireland.
Emporix built its partnerships in the region before it hired a sales lead, and CEO Mark Holenstein explains the reasoning behind that sequence in the latest edition of The Autonomous Commerce Letter. For customers, the practical consequence is that a project in the Netherlands or Belgium starts with an implementation team that already works with B2B companies there.
Why Order Processes in Benelux Are Under New Pressure
Suppliers in the Netherlands and Belgium trade across borders as a matter of course, and their order processes now face e-invoicing rules that make the quality of order data a compliance question. Belgium's mandate is already in force, the Netherlands has set a date, and EU rules for cross-border trade follow in 2030.
Since 1 January 2026, Belgian companies liable to VAT must exchange structured electronic invoices for nearly all transactions with each other, sent over the Peppol network (FPS Finance, 2026). These invoices are checked automatically, and one of the fatal Peppol rules, PEPPOL-EN16931-R003, requires a buyer reference or purchase order reference on every invoice (OpenPeppol, Peppol BIS Billing 3.0). For a wholesaler that still types PDF purchase orders into the ERP by hand, a reference field left empty at order entry now produces a rejected invoice weeks later.
The Netherlands is following. On 11 September 2026, the Dutch cabinet announced that it intends to introduce e-invoicing for businesses from 1 July 2030, for both domestic and cross-border transactions between companies, with digital reporting following from 1 July 2031; draft legislation goes to public consultation this autumn (Rijksoverheid, 2026). At EU level, the VAT in the Digital Age package brings digital reporting for cross-border B2B transactions from the same date (European Commission, 2025). A supplier selling across Benelux and into Germany will therefore need the same order data to satisfy several regimes, and the companies that capture it correctly when the order arrives will not have to correct it separately for each country.
What Autonomous Commerce Execution Changes for a Benelux Supplier
Emporix is an Autonomous Commerce Execution platform for B2B manufacturers and wholesalers. For a supplier in the Netherlands or Belgium, that means processes such as purchase order intake, contract pricing and exception handling run across the ERP and the other systems already in place, instead of depending on someone to move each order along by hand.
Autonomous Commerce Execution is an operating model in which commerce processes observe, decide and act across the systems a business already runs (ERP, pricing, inventory, fulfilment and service) without waiting for a human to trigger each step. People stay in the loop for the decisions that need judgement. Emporix ACE is the platform that delivers it.
The processes run as Value Streams. A Value Stream is a pre-built, configurable business process that connects customer journeys, internal workflows and data across systems, from the trigger to the outcome, for example from an incoming PDF purchase order to a confirmed order in the ERP. That particular example is where many Benelux suppliers feel the e-invoicing pressure first, and Emporix's Value Stream for automating PDF and email purchase orders captures the buyer's reference and checks the order before it reaches the ERP, with people reviewing the exceptions the rules flag. Other common starting points are customer-specific pricing and quotes, and the onboarding of new B2B customers. Business teams adapt Value Streams in a no-code modeler, and the ERP stays in place.
Emporix's existing customers include companies whose situation looks much like that of a Benelux supplier, with several countries to serve, customer-specific prices, SAP at the centre and a large share of orders still arriving by email.

The LMT Tools project was implemented by foryouandyourcustomers, whose Dutch business is one of Emporix's four Benelux partners, and it followed the approach described below, proving value in DACH before scaling to further markets and regions. Berner Group, which ran a proof of concept with two vendors before choosing Emporix, describes the decision this way: "After a thorough selection process and PoC with two vendors, Emporix clearly stood out in platform capabilities, innovation and fit for our future architecture. Together with a dedicated senior team, this gives us strong confidence in a successful project," said Rob Noordman, Team Lead Software Product Management at Berner Group.
How a Project With Emporix Starts in the Netherlands and Belgium
Emporix projects are designed to start with one process rather than a full replatforming, implemented by a local partner on top of the existing ERP. A typical first project follows four steps.
- Map where orders still need manual handling, by channel and by customer group, and estimate what that handling costs.
- Choose the first Value Stream where the manual effort or the compliance risk is highest, often purchase order intake or contract pricing.
- Implement it with one of the Benelux partners, connected to the ERP and the systems already in use.
- Measure the result, such as manual touches per order or the share of invoices accepted at the first attempt, and extend to the next process.
A partner-led model has one dependency worth checking before any project starts. The quality of the implementation rests on the partner team assigned to it, so it is worth asking which team will do the work and how many comparable B2B projects it has delivered, whichever platform you are evaluating.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is Emporix available to companies in the Netherlands and Belgium?
Yes. Emporix has expanded into Benelux and works with manufacturers, wholesalers and distributors in the Netherlands and Belgium through local implementation partners. Marnix Dekker leads sales for the region, and the Benelux is now a core market for Emporix alongside DACH.
Which implementation partners does Emporix work with in Benelux?
Emporix works with SQLI, foryouandyourcustomers, Kega and Acorel in the Netherlands and Belgium. The partnerships were built over the twelve months before Emporix appointed a regional sales lead, so customer projects start with implementation teams that already work with B2B companies in the region and know the systems their orders pass through.
What is Autonomous Commerce Execution?

What Comes Next for Emporix in Benelux
The next few weeks bring the announcement of Emporix's first two Dutch customers and the company's product launch in Zug on 20 October. Beyond that, the work is turning a year of partner groundwork into customer projects with manufacturers and wholesalers across the Netherlands and Belgium. For suppliers in the region, the timing matters because the order data that Belgian e-invoicing requires today is the same data Dutch rules will require from 2030, and processes fixed now will not need fixing twice.
